- Find this assignment in your Google Classroom. Open a Google doc and create a storyboard for your original website idea using text boxes and drawing tools provided in Google docs. To access the drawing tools in a Google doc, select Insert, then Drawing. The website should include at least four pages, a home page and three pages that are linked to the home page. Begin planning the content you would like to use on these pages. As an intern at Bishop Company, we advise you to include placeholders for a company banner, a welcome message, and a form to submit a request for more information on your client's home page. One of your pages should contain information that can be presented using lists, a second page should include multiple images, and a third page should contain information that can be presented in a table. Email your storyboard that includes the initial plans for the content to your mentor and obtain approval before proceeding with the next step.
- Create a site root folder inside your Google Drive folder created for this class. Name this folder Original Website your last name.
- Define the site with a similar name, using the site root folder you just created.
- Create an assets folder and set it as the default location for images.
- Use the Files panel to create the pages you and your mentor have agreed on.
- Remember to store any information you collect for this site in your folder.
- Paste a screen shot of your site setup dialog box and site local information dialog box into the same Google doc. When you are finished, select TURN IN. Refer to the instructions in the Background Building section if you need assistance capturing a screen shot. If you need additional assistance send an email to your mentor using the Subject Line "Request for Help."
